Description
Description
The book Rebels Against the Raj chronicles the little-known story of seven foreigners who joined the Indian freedom movement in the late 19th to late 20th century. Comprised of four British, two American, and one Irish individuals, both men and women, these renegades made significant contributions in journalism, social reform, education, and the empowerment of women. Their impact can still be seen today through the institutions they founded and the individuals they inspired. Through their intertwined stories, we gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between India and the West, as well as India's search for identity and freedom from British colonial rule.
