Description
Within the novel Double Act, ten-year-old identical twins Ruby and Garnet share nearly everything, from their appearance to their classes. However, their dissimilar personalities set them apart, with Ruby being outgoing and humorous, while Garnet is shy and sensitive. In the midst of dealing with the loss of their mother, the twins' lives are turned upside down when their father starts spending time with his new "friend" Rose. Despite their dislike for Rose, the family moves to the country and the girls start attending a new school. While Garnet adapts to the change and makes new friends, Ruby feels betrayed and stops speaking to her sister.
